Obituary for Josephine Bester (Jackson)

Josephine Bester 67 of Warwick passed away on February 24th, she was the beloved daughter of the late Otis and Viola (Hammon) Jackson. She is survived by her three loving children Teresa Bester, Stephanie Bester and Eugene Bester all of Warwick. She will also be sorley missed by her two brothers, Leon and Dover Bester both of Mississippi and by Eugene Bester Sr., to whom she was married to for eleven years.

Josephine was a strong believer in closeness in family. She often said we were never meant to be alone and that having family and friends was important. We need to care and love one another, look out and reach out to each other, not only during times of need but also to simply let your loved ones know you are there.

Everyone who came to know my Josephine grew to like her in an instant. There was a kind and spiritual quality to her that would make you feel good to be around her.

She was very proud of her three children and very active and attentive in their lives until her health started to fail her but even then she was glad to have her family close. She loved watching her old black and white Western series and movies but would gladly watch the newer movies to enjoy watching them with her family but mostly she just enjoyed the family togetherness.

When she wasn't watching her DVDs, she enjoyed listening to her gospel songs and reading her favorite scriptures from the Bible.

A Graveside Service, to which friends and family are invited to attend, will be held Wednesday March 2nd at the North Burial Ground Cemetery at 10 am.
