Obituary for Adeline Ricci

Our dear aunt, cousin and friend, Adeline Ricci, 92, of North Providence, passed away peacefully, on May 9th, 2021 surrounded by her loving family and in the tender care of Hope Hospice & Palliative Care of Providence. She was a beloved daughter of the late Giovanni and Amelia (Mannarelli) Ricci. Adeline is survived by her many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Americo and Alfred.

Born in Providence on March 14th, 1929 she was a woman ahead of her time, unconventional and nontraditional she chose a career path so, after graduating high school she went to work. She worked as head secretary, in Downtown Providence for one of the largest auction companies in the state for over thirty years before retiring. It was a fast-paced job and she thrived there. She was smart, outgoing, stylish and funny but we will remember her most for being thoughtful and generous.

Adeline liked to go to Florida and travel a bit, but she liked being home mostly. She stayed single and treated all her nieces and nephews like her children, she never forgot a birthday and we always knew that we would get a call or receive a card on our special day. She was a sweet, kind and thoughtful soul who has now gone home to rest.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Berarducci Funeral Home. Burial services for Adeline to which family and friends are invited to attend will be held tomorrow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket RI at 11am
