Obituary for Anthony Torzi

Anthony Torzi
Anthony Torzi, 81, of Johnston, passed peacefully on Friday, June 19, 2015, at Miriam Hospital in Providence following a period of declining health. Born in Providence on May 27, 1934 to the late Amalio and Amelia (Ferraro) Torzi, he was the husband of the late Anna May (Casey) Torzi.
Anthony was the dear brother of Carol Sousa of Cranston, RI, and the late Angelo Torzi. He was a loving Uncle to his nieces, nephews, and grandnephew: Dawn Rose-McCahey, Donna Dellaquilla, Cynthia Thurston, Michelle Sousa, George Sousa, III, James McCahey, and Orlando Rose.

Following a long career in the jewelry industry, including many years of service at Rolo Manufacturing, Inc., Anthony hosted many yard sales in which he took particular delight. Always a jokester, Anthony enjoyed old movies, rock 'n roll music, sweets, sweets, and more sweets! He took great pride in his home and enjoyed much quiet and restful time there. He will be sorely missed but fondly remembered by his family and special friends, Barbara De Pasquale and family, Alan Longiaru, and Charlie D'Arezzo, whose many kindnesses are sincerely appreciated.

Following private services on Tuesday, Anthony will be laid to rest in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston, RI
