Obituary for Claudette "Charlie" Griffin (Richer)

Claudette (Charlie) (Richer) Griffin 56, a lifelong resident of Woonsocket, passed away unexpectedly, at Landmark Medical Center November 25th 2015. Charlie, as she was affectionately known to her friends and family, was the daughter of the late Albert and Juliet (Cloutier) Richer of Woonsocket.

She is survived by her loving husband Richard (Dickey) Griffin, her two adoring children, Scott Griffin along with his partner Steve Parker, her daughter Crissy Griffin along with her fiancé Eric Dubois’ also of Woonsocket. Charlie will be sorely missed by her two beautiful grandchildren Avery and Acacia. In addition, as the youngest of 11 children she will be missed by her many siblings. She was the youngest sister of Norman Richer of Texas, Leo Richer of Westerly RI, Roger Richer of North Carolina, Robert Richer of Texas and Gerard Richer of Texas. Her sisters were Pauline Ridlon of Woonsocket, Jeanne Karch of Texas, Rita Calvert of Alabama, Anita Edny of Texas and Estelle Boulay also of Texas.

Charlie loved her friends and family and will remembered often and fondly by her many nieces and nephews who will always remember her giving ways, she would give the shirt off her back for any friend or relative in need.

Charlie was a stay at home mom when her kids were small but later loved working at local retail businesses such as Ames and local Lil’ General stores where she often had the chance to meet and speak with her may friends and neighbors from her beloved Woonsocket. She loved crafts and making and collecting her beautiful angels which she shared with those that carried a special place in her heart.

Visiting hours for Charlie will be held in the Berarducci Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center 185 Spring St., Woonsocket on Saturday December 5th 3-5pm.

A Memorial Mass to which friends and family are also invited to attend will be held Sunday, December 6th, at 10am in All Saints Church on Rathbun Street Woonsocket RI 02895 with a Reception immediately following the church service from 12-5 at the American Legion Post at 870 River Street, Woonsocket RI 02895
