Obituary for Colleen Angela Brite

Colleen Angela Brite, 47, passed away unexpectedly, at her home in North Kingston RI, on November 18th, 2019. She was a beloved daughter of Rosemary E. (Deptula) Brite and William R. Brite, Jr. She is survived by her six siblings, Joyce Ferland and her husband Gerry of Cumberland, William Brite and his wife Kim of Millville, Laurie Ann Cote and her husband Leo of Woonsocket, Jonathan Brite of Uxbridge, Jamie Brite, Alexia Armstrong and her spouse Jason, of Woonsocket.

Colleen was a beautiful, independent, passionate, intelligent, and charismatic woman who was full of life. Her loss will forever leave an indelible mark on those who knew and loved her. Colleen was a sweet and sensitive homebody who adored her friends and family. She was very industrious, smart, gifted, talented and was able to teach herself almost anything. She fixed her own roof, renovated her own kitchen, installed her own wood burning stove and greenhouse and when amazed family and friends would ask her how she knew how to do all these things, she would say, YouTube!. In addition to being a home improvement aficionado she also custom designed and handcrafted canvas-based products for boats. She was an entrepreneur who owned and operated a home business called Precious Pups Day Camp and Spa. Colleen had an incredible love for all the dogs she took care of, a strong faith and an even stronger love for her many nieces and nephews. Colleen was an independent woman who lived life on her own terms, she was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend, she will be profoundly missed by all of us until we meet again.

A Celebration of Colleen’s life, to which family and friends are respectfully invited to attend, will be held at Dan's Carriage Inn and Saloon at 1065 Tower Hill Road, North Kingstown on Monday November 25th from 5:00 - 9:00

In lieu of flowers, donations made to the ASPCA, in loving memory of Colleen will be appreciated.

Planted in the area of greatest need

So now I have my ex begging for me back and he tells me he loves me still and all that. I told him that I still love him and I never stopped, but this time I’d like things to be different and he needs to change some things like don’t give up on his future schooling dreams like he usually does and to treat me better than he did before. Does it sound like I’m doing it right? I also told him that I don’t want the label yet until he can prove to me that he is worthy of my time. He has told me that he is committed to changing and to do anything it takes for me to forgive him ‘one day’. I hope I’m not pushing him away..for recommendation ( ) – Krystal

My heartfelt condolences for your loss. Please find comfort in the knowledge that soon God will wipe out every tear from our eyes, and “death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things (will) have passed away.”(Rev. 21:3,4) May this promise give you comfort now and a real hope for the future. My deepest sympathies.

My heartfelt condolences go out to you and your family. We will greatly miss the presence of a truly loving and kind person. Her absence in this world leaves a hole which cannot be filled. When we think of Colleen, first we think of her beautiful smile which she readily gave to every one. Next, we think of her gentle, loving way. We wish her peace in the arms of the Lord.

I grew up with Colleen. We were childhood friends. I still have photos of Colleen with my cousin Sherri, Tanya and myself that I look at often and remember the care free days. Sherri always kept me updated on how everyone was doing. I haven't seen Colleen in years but I remember how wonderful and funny she was. You never forget your childhood friends. My heart goes out to all of you.
