Obituary for Cynthia Stanton
A beloved mother and grandmother, Cynthia "Cindy" Stanton (Goldsmith), 66, of Summerville, SC, passed away on December 18, 2023, in Lincoln, RI. She was born on May 10, 1957, in Providence, RI. Cindy was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Cindy had a vibrant personality and was known for her sense of humor and witty remarks. Cindy had a deep love for dogs and was a proud dog-mom to Max and Mia. In her free time, Cindy enjoyed indulging in her favorite food, pizza, and watching TV. She found comfort and relaxation in these simple pleasures. However, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. Cindy was fiercely independent and valued the bonds she shared with her loved ones.
Cindy is survived by her daughter, Carrie Goldsmith, and her spouse Josh Mercer. She is also survived by her grandson, Bruce, along with her sister, Jo Ann Egan and her not-quite daughter, niece Cara Tully. Cindy was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Goldsmith, her father, Kenneth Goldsmith, her sister, Susan Burke, and her husband, Peter Stanton.
Cindy's warm heart, quick wit, and love for her family and dogs will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of laughter and love.
Services for Cindy have been entrusted to the Berarducci Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, A memorial service will be held in Cindy's honor to celebrate her life.
