Obituary for Donna M DelSanto
She always spoke the truth - like it or not! Our dear mother, sister, aunt, and friend, Donna M. DelSanto, 63, of Providence, passed away unexpectedly at Rhode Island Hospital, on January 17th, 2022. She was a cherished daughter of Aldrich and Geraldine (Buffi) DelSanto. She leaves behind, her longtime and extremely devoted companion, Mark Tyson; her beloved daughter, Shana DelSanto; and her three loving sisters, Patricia DelSanto, Jessica DelSanto, and Carol Buffi, all of Providence. She is also survived by her devoted nieces, Shaniece, Bryana, Kayla, Tatyanna, Jaylyn, and Delvonna; her nephew, Dakota; two great-nieces; and three great-nephews.
Donna was born and raised in Providence, in a loving and traditional home. A talented and proud Majorette, she attended St. Mary’s Academy of the Visitation in Providence and continued on to complete several college courses. Thereafter, she worked in various capacities in the education and later manufacturing fields. Donna endeared herself to many along life's way with her outgoing personality and beautiful matching smile! And, she was as opinionated as she was fun-loving!
Donna has left us much too soon but, we will always remember how she loved being with her family. On Sundays, she could always be found her making her grandmother’s traditional Italian gravy in anticipation of the family’s arrival. To accompany her during this activity - and at other times, too - she would be playing 'Oldies' music with all the best R&B on her playlist! In her peaceful hours, she often visited Holy Ghost Church, where she found particular peace and solace.
A smart, savvy, kind, and all-around wonderful woman, she was caring and helpful to family, friends, and others. Most of all, she was a great mother, sister, and aunt who was always there for her family. She will be sorely missed by all who were lucky enough to have been loved, touched, and influenced by her. Rest in peace, dear Donna, until we meet, again!
Visitation for Donna will be Sunday evening January 23rd, from 4-6pm, in the Berarducci Home, 26 Grove St Providence RI. Burial will be private.
