DUGGAN, DOROTHY M. (TILLIER)

Dorothy M. Duggan (Dottie) 75 of Warwick died peacefully at home on July 5th surrounded by her loving family. Dottie was the daughter of the late Alfred R. and Dorothy(Pelletier) Tillier and the sister of the late Alfred Tillier, Jr.. She was also predeceased by her first husband Frank Palumbo. She is survived by her husband Raymond Duggan, her daughter Jessica Brumsted a Vermont state legislator who lives in Shelburne Vermont with her husband, John Brumsted; her son David Palumbo, a contractor who lives in Warwick, Rhode Island with his wife, Donna Cucca Palumbo; her six grandchildren, Nicholas Palumbo, Alyssa Palumbo, Amanda Comai, Benjamin Comai, Nathaniel Comai, and Samual Comai; and her two stepsons, Raymond Duggan of Fairhaven, Massachusetts and Steven Duggan of Rumford, Rhode Island.

Dorothy attended Coventry High School and Rhode Island College. She worked as a Cartographer at the Army Map Service and a medical claims supervisor at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company before retiring.

Dottie also enjoyed tennis, skiing, gardening, Brown University athletics, exploring and enjoying Narragansett Bay with her husband, always looking for her secret quahog cove. But most of all, she enjoyed her family. Dottie was able to stay at home thru her illness, which was her wish due to the efforts of the Visiting Nurses Home and Hospice Care of Portsmouth R.I.

In lieu of flowers please donate to Visiting Nurses Home and Hospice Care, 1184 E. Main St. Portsmouth, R.I. 02871. Funeral Services will be private as was Dottie’s wish.
