Obituary for Edith Moore (Caprio)
Edith (Caprio) Moore, 93, of Providence passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 9th, 2019 in the company of her son Roy and members of the caring and compassionate staff at Courtland Place in Smithfield, where she had resided and been tenderly cared for during the past several months of declining health. A proud, life-long resident of Providence, she previously resided at Charlesgate where she enjoyed many happy years.
Edith was born, raised, educated, and employed in the jewelry industry in Providence and leaves her mark. She was an avid and intricate knitter, and delighted in making and gifting scores of doll clothing items to family and friends. She also excelled at and enjoyed oil painting.
Her son, Roy, is her only survivor. She was predeceased by her parents, Luigi and Filomena (Cagno) Caprio and her two daughters, Edith Susan and Stephanie Moore.
Memorial Services are strictly private at the family's request. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Berarducci Home and Cremation Care Center, Providence.
