The angels came to take home our beloved, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, Helen Cullerton, 76, a lifelong resident of Woonsocket passed away peacefully at home, on September 10th, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Woonsocket on December 11th, 1944. She was a daughter of the late Joseph and Delia (Marcil) Brodeur. Helen is survived by her devoted sister, affectionately known as her "Partner in Crime" Patricia Desjardin and four loving and devoted Children, Ronald Cullerton Jr., April Descy, Brenda Cullerton, and Joseph Cullerton all of Woonsocket. She is also survived by several beautiful grandchildren and great grandchildren. Helen was predeceased by her son James Cullerton. She was also predeceased by her siblings Norman Brodeur, Anita Laforest, Jannette Masse, Claire Myette and her longtime partner Ralph Descy. In addition to her loving family, Helen passed in the comfort and care of her devoted caregivers, Joseph Cullerton, Tracy Peloquin and Travis Cullerton to whom we are grateful.

Helen was a beautiful woman and a kind and loving person, she especially loved children and stray animals. She was a soul that drew others toward her kindness and warmth. As a young girl she attended Woonsocket public schools and immediately thereafter went to work. She was a hard working woman all of her life. She worked for Coby Glass and Peter Pan Ice Cream for many years before becoming a homemaker and raising her five children. She was a devout catholic and attended church every day after which she would spend the rest of her day, tending to and caring for her grandchildren and her dog troubles.

Gone but never forgotten, Helen will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Services for Helen to which family and friends are respectfully invited to attend will be held in the Berarducci Funeral Home, 185 Spring St. Woonsocket on Wednesday, September 15th, 2021 from 4 to 6 pm.
