Obituary for Ivy M Robinson

Nana the Great! Our beloved mother, sister, and grandmother, Ivy M. Robinson, 89 of Middletown, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on March 3rd at Hope Hospice, surrounded by her loving family. She was a cherished daughter of Walter (Buster) Keyes and Ione Bouldin. She is survived by her devoted children, Joseph Euell of Lake Mary, Florida, Nancy Euell of West Warwick, RI, Jawwaad Kaashif of Fredricksberg, Virginia; Rick Haynes of Longbranch, New Jersey and Steven Robinson of Providence, Rhode Island. She is also survived by her brother, Joseph Keyes in New Jersey, her sister, Jaqueline Bouldin of Tallahassee, Florida, along with nine grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Ivy was predeceased by her son, Dennis Haynes, and her sister, Robin McQueen.

A beautiful and beloved soul with a huge heart and personality, Ivy loved hard and will be remembered always for her kindness, her generosity, and her love. Born in New York, she was a hard-working and courageous woman, strong-willed and independent, she was affectionately known as Nana the Great, Don Donna, and Aunt Millie. Ivy had the compassion of angel; no person went hungry or without a warm place to stay. If you passed her way, she took care of you; if you came to her door, you ate well and slept warmly. She was our Matriarch and the glue of our family.

She was smart and outgoing with a great personality! She loved being around family and friends, she loved family gatherings, especially holidays when she would make everyone’s favorite Soul Food dishes like pork chops and gravy, mac & cheese, Whiting fish, Farina and cheesy eggs! When she attended gatherings, it was known to look for Aunt Millie’s incredible Lasagna, as anything she brought would be the first to go! Ivy was our living example of love and kindness. Until we meet again, she will be remembered always for the love she had for all of us.

Rest in Peace sweet angel; Services for Ivy will be private
