Obituary for James L Gauvin

A beloved husband and father is gone too soon. James Leo Gauvin, 60, of Woonsocket, passed into eternal rest at Rhode Island Hospital on March 26th, 2022, following a period of declining health. Sadly, his long and valiant struggle with multiple health issues defined his final years.

He leaves his devoted wife, Debra L. (Maynard), and their son, James L. Gauvin, Jr.; three daughters, Tammy Thomas, Cassie Cartwright and Trisha Cartwright along with five beautiful grandchildren, Angela, Max, Temperance, Courtney and MacKenzie.

A life-long City resident, he was born on February 1,1962, in Woonsocket to the late Dolores (Fontaine) Gauvin and James Forget. He was raised and educated there together with his ever-caring sisters, Jeanne and Sharon Gauvin, who also survive him, as do several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of James' Life will be planned for a later date. Meanwhile, condolences and memories may be posted on this site.

Arrangements entrusted to the care of Berarducci Funeral & Cremation Services, 185 Spring Street, Woonsocket.
