Obituary for Jeffery Michael Lewis

A man who gave his heart to everyone, our father, brother, partner and friend, Jeffery Michael Lewis, 51 of Bellingham, passed away unexpectedly, at home, on January 31st, 2022. He was a son of the late David and Constance (Godin) Lewis. He is survived by his beautiful and beloved daughter, Kacey Lewis of Sutton MA. He is also survived by his longtime and dear companion, Tracey Marino of Woonsocket. Jeffery also leaves behind his brother, Michael Lewis, his sister Kelley Czsmesia, her husband John and their daughter Joli.

Truly a soul that was loved by everyone, Jeff was a devoted dad and partner, a hard working man and an incredibly gifted carpenter. His work was a gateway to the countless friends who will miss him dearly. Both those who knew him longtime or just met him briefly will remember him for his heart of gold, his kindness and generosity shown through his willingness to help anyone. He was funny and had a great sense of humor. He loved his family, loved having everyone over for gatherings and special occasions. Every Christmas, he would make little meat pies with Christmas trees etched in the crust. A tradition and treat we will sorely miss.

Many of Jeff’s friends, endeared to him, would refer to him as “Uncle Jeff” as a testament to his kindness in helping others as if everyone were part of his family. In addition to being a great family man, Jeff was also a man’s, man, a long time lover of NASCAR, Dale Sr., and Dale Earnhart Jr., were two of his favorite NASCAR superstars. He loved football, I can recall him being a fan of Brett Favre but he proved himself a Lewis by loving the New England Patriots! He even built a waterproof cabinet in a tree outside so we could watch games by the bonfire as he smoked meat.

Our memorial service for Jeff, to which family and friends are invited to attend, will be held at the Bellingham Sportsman’s Club, 360 Lake St, Bellingham MA on Sunday, March 6th from 1-4pm.
