Obituary for Jeffery Washington

Jeffrey S. Washington

A dear father, grandfather, and brother is gone too soon. Jeffrey S. Washington, 66, of Cranston, passed away on Sunday, December 20th, following a period of declining health complicated by COVID-19.
Born in Providence, RI on October 4, 1954 to the late Noami (Spence) and George H. Washington, Sr., Jeffrey was raised by the late Louis M. Smith.

Jeffrey faced and overcame many challenges throughout his lifetime, yet he never let them define him. Rather, he developed many admirable life skills which, when coupled with his deep love for family and his innate creativity and artistic flair, now become his legacy.

Industrious and hardworking, he was employed in his early years as a welder at Electric Boat, Inc. in Groton, CT. When unable to work, he found solace in and thoroughly enjoyed reading and drawing.

Jeffrey is survived by many family members and friends by whom he’ll be sorely missed. He was a dear brother to Paulette Littlejohn, George, David, Michael, and the late Beverly, Jessica, and Elwood Washington, and Naomi, Julie, and William Corriea; a loving and devoted father to Andrew Snead, Jennifer and the late Gregory Washington; dedicated grandfather to Sincere, Sha’kyla, Gary, and Andrew Snead, Jr., Eleanor McClean, Jamal and Jayden McCarthy, Envy Richards, Quincy Vanover, Darien J. and King M. Washington, and Tytan M. Gomes; loving great-grandfather to Lavinia Snead; and beloved uncle to hundreds of nieces and nephews.

Services for are private. Arrangements are entrusted to the Berarducci Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center. Memorial contributions directly to the family would be appreciated. Condolences may be left at [ProvidenceCremation.com].
