Obituary for Joseph A Daly

Joseph A. Daly, 95, of Woonsocket, formerly of Cranston, passed away October 25, 2019 at Landmark Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Dolores (Lavallee) Daly for 39 years and the widow of Alice (Dihep) Daly. He was the son of the late Anthony and Margaret (Carroll) Daly. Joe was predeceased by his son Alan Daly and was also predeceased by his two sisters Vera Mousseau and Margaret Bassett. He is survived by stepchildren Steven Rotatori of Bellingham, MA. Kim McHugh and her husband Matthew McHugh of Venice, FL. and Matunuck, RI, Robin Lavoie, and Jill Badeau and her husband Marc of Woonsocket, and his beloved nephew Gary Bassett and his husband Stephen Lewis. His loving grandchildren Stacey, Leslie, Rachel, Stefanie, Shayna, Adam, and Brooke along with 11 great grandchildren also survive Joe.

Joe was a proud Army Veteran who served his country honorably during
World War II. He was a quiet, loving family man who loved baseball, family gatherings, the beach, and his country. He was a dedicated man who worked for the government for many years and before retiring at 90 years old was a driver for a jewelry company. Joe loved to tell stories and entertain the children with his life’s history. He was an exceptional man, a loving caring husband who will be missed dearly.

Services for Joe will be private. He will be laid to rest in the Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Exeter. Condolences may be sent to Dolores Daly at P.O. Box 2005, Woonsocket, RI 02895.
