OBITUARY ~ JOYCE ANN KELLEY
A free-spirited, sister, aunt, and friend, Joyce Ann Kelley, 60, of Narragansett, passed away unexpectedly, at home, on January 3rd, 2023. She was born in Providence, a cherished daughter of the late Robert Thomas and Joyce Elizabeth (Ball) Kelley. She is survived by her siblings, Robert Kelley (wife, Susan) of North Kingston, and Nancy Kelley Atiyolil. She was predeceased by her sister, Kathleen (Kelley) Pignatore.
Joyce was an independent, hardworking, strong-willed woman who, like Frank Sinatra, 'did things her way'!
Beautiful, smart, and talented, she loved the beach, loved living in Narragansett and spending time alone with her art, and loved to sketch and draw for hours at time; she could draw absolutely anything! Also a talented painter, Joyce had an 'artist's eye' and deep soul who could express herself through her beautiful work(s).
Notwithstanding her love of art and loving heart, Joyce struggled over the years yet remained focused and hardworking. Her innate kindness and compassion, coupled with her passions, enabled her to persevere and contribute to the betterment of the community and mankind, as she found solace and healing through cooking and feeding others at a number of local shelters.
Services for Joyce were respectfully private, at the family's request. She was laid to rest in Acotes Hill Cemetery.
