Obituary for Kelwyn Jones

Kelwyn Jones, 80, of Cranston, passed away after a brief illness. Born in Trinidad, he was a beloved son of the late Arthur and Dorothy (Simmon) Draton. Kelwyn is survived by his loving spouse of many years Jennifer Jones. He is also survived by his ten beautiful grown children, his seven sons, Kelwyn Jones, Vernon Aberdine and
Sherwin Aberdine of Trinidad, Carlton Jason Jones, Anthony (Bob) Lutchman, and Ivan Lutchman all of Cranston and Kewnyn Jones of Boston, three daughters, Jillian Jones, Sherry Ann Jones and JoAnne Jones all of Canada. He is also survived by two brothers, Chris Jones of Trinidad and Allan Brown of New York and one sister, Christine Jones of Trinidad. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren by whom he will be sorely missed. Kelwyn was predeceased by one daughter, the late Margaret Aberdine.

Born in Trinidad, Kelwyn was a handsome and outgoing young man growing up, he was a hard worker, kind and adventurous, he was charming and had a great personality which endeared him to many. While still in his early thirties, a carpenter by trade, Kelwyn moved from Trinidad to Canada where he worked for Toronto Western Hospital before meeting his beautiful wife Jennifer with whom he married and moved to Rhode Island with. Jennifer and Kelwyn settled in the Ocean State where they made their life and raised their children.

Kelwyn loved his family, loved traveling and learning new things. Working with his hands was what he loved best, he would assist and help friends and neighbors at any time of the day or night with his expert carpentry skills, fixing things, that broke or went wrong in their homes, he was generous and kind in both spirit and life. He was a fisherman at heart, he loved saltwater fishing waiting patiently for biggest Strippers and Bass to show off to family and friends.

Services for Kelwyn have been entrusted to the Berarducci Home; Services for Kelwyn will be private
