Obituary for Linda Mary Higginson
Linda Higginson (9/23/52 ~ 8/8/20)
On Saturday, August 8, 2020, Linda Mary Higginson, our dear mother, sister, ‘mimi’, and courageous warrior, breathed her last at Landmark Medical Center and gained her angel wings.
While her wings were ready to fly, our hearts were not ready to let her go.
Her legacy will be carried on by her strong sons, Mike, Dan, Steve, Aaron, and Andrew; her loyal siblings, Edna, Janice, Dee, Donna, Roger, and Lorraine; her beloved grand babies, Jacob, Mikey, Tiffanni, Bryan, Amber, Christian, Heaven, Emma, Caleb, Brianna, and Lily; and her faithful dog, Poppy.
She fought long and hard until the very end. Although our hearts break with each passing day knowing she’s no longer a short drive or phone call away, there is comfort and consolation in knowing that she is no longer in pain. Birthday parties, Christmas, and all family gatherings will not be the same without her presence, in our hearts she will be there.
The entire Higginson family will be forever grateful for the wonderful life she had and all the fun memories she left us with.
Linda always brought a laugh or smile out of everybody who had the pleasure of knowing her. Wherever she was, there was always fun. She’d give the shirt off her back for anybody and made her family enormously proud of her selflessness through the caring work she did for the animal shelter. Although she will be greatly missed we take comfort in knowing that she is now and will forever be watching over her family from above.
