Marta “Little Gramma” as she was affectionately known by all due to her petite frame, was a brave, strong and hard-working woman in her youth. Marta moved from Puerto Rico to Rochester over fifty years ago but quickly decided that she like the smaller and quainter neighborhood of Woonsocket where she settled and she and Kiko, raised their family. She worked at ACS Industries in Woonsocket for many years before retiring.

Marta was not just about hard work; she enjoyed life, she was kind, loving, and generous. Her family will remember her most as compassionate and “non-judgmental’, and, most importantly, for the love that radiated from her. We will always remember that was “Little Gramma’s” way; her lesson: be kind, do not judge others, and love. She loved her family, especially being grandmother to nine and great grandmother to ten more; she loved family gatherings and having any opportunity to be with her family and to cook and make her special “Little Gramma Rice” and her super delicious soups. She also loved Bingo and played to win! We will forever miss her reminding us to "Be Kind", "Stick Together", and to "Love Each Other". So, until we meet again, rest in God’s hands, Little Gramma.
