Diamond Hill Road has lost a treasure, our dear, Marvin Lamar (Buddy) Bradshaw, 58, of Woonsocket, passed away on May 21st, 2021 after a long struggle with many health issues, at Landmark Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Buddy was born on October 7th, 1962 in South Carolina to Marvin and Barbara Bradshaw Jr. He is survived by his devoted spouse Melissa Machado and his step-children, Andrew Machado of Georgia, Matthew Machado of Woonsocket, Jamie Machado of Burriville and Adrienne Machado of Smithfield. Buddy is also survived by his dear sister Debra Nellis of South Carolina along with many beloved step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Marvin was well known to all his neighbors and local business owners of Diamond Hill Road in Woonsocket as he could easily be found frequenting the many friends and establishments by pulling in on his motorized wheelchair, his “Scooter”, Boom Box blasting, lights flashing, rear view mirror in place and he was good to go. His personality was huge, his smile and laughter infectious and his positive attitude was felt by everyone who knew him. Marvin didn’t spend much time complaining, he knew life was a gift and he appreciated it.
An avid Carolina Panthers fan who loved country music, he also liked anything that challenged his mind, he would pass the time with video games or he would relax while watching his favorite, The Price Is Right.
Buddy could fix just about anything, he loved tinkering with electronics. He also cooked and was known for his delicious Chili and Pot Roasts dinners. We will miss dearly, his great sense of humor, his positive attitude, the way he loved to shop, cook, fix things and just be a part of our lives.
Services for Buddy have been entrusted to the Berarducci Home and will be private.
