Mary Ann Torris, 89, of North Providence passed away peacefully at Fatima Hospital on December 14th, 2019. A daughter of the late Giuseppe and Maria (Simoli) Voccola. She was the widow of the late James Torris whom she loved dearly. Mary was predeceased by her siblings and is survived by her only son James Torris lll and his wife Angelik along with their daughter Nicole.

Mary was recently a resident of North Providence and spent most of her life in Rhode Island. She also lived in Southern California for nearly 20 years but always kept Rhode Island close to her heart. She was a loving and caring person who cherished her family, especially her beautiful granddaughter Nicole. She had a passion for conversation and entertainment. Mary was a person of strong faith, was kind and giving. She loved spending time with family and friends and was very proud of her Italian heritage.

A mass of Christian Burial, to which family and friends are respectfully invited to attend, will be held in Holy Ghost Church on Atwells Ave., Saturday, December 28th, 2019 at 10 am. After Mass attendees will be invited back to Roma’s on Atwells Ave. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery and will be private.
