Our sweet mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed peacefully from this life to eternal life on Tuesday, October 19th at Landmark Medical Center.
Milagros Cruz was born in Puerto Rico on November 27, 1949 to Nereida Santiago and Emilio Cruz. She was raised and educated there and worked for the U.S. Social Security Administration (SSA) for many years before retiring. Thereafter, she emigrated to 'the states' settling in Woonsocket to be close to family.
A 'homebody' at heart, she was an incredible homemaker, compassionate caregiver, and supportive family member to all. She especially enjoyed attending sports and all other activities in which her children and grandchildren were engaged.
Melagros is survived by her sons, Maximiliano of Texas and Angel of New Jersey; her daughter, Veronica, of Woonsocket; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to a celebration of her life, TODAY, Thursday, October 21st, in the Berarducci Home, 185 Spring Street, Woonsocket, beginning with visitation at 4:00p.m. and concluding with a family memorial and prayer service at 6:45p.m. Burial will be private at a later date.
