Obituary for Michelle Giron
Michelle Doreen Manego-Giron of Hillcrest Village Apartments in Providence
was born on June 10, 1955 in White Plains, NY
a daughter of the late Ethel Lee Gadson & the late Richmond Gilbert Blatch.
Michelle crossed over on Monday, February 17, 2020
at the Roger Williams Medical Center at the age of 64.
At the age of 2, Michelle was diagnosed with Spinal Meningitis which resulted in a learning disability. At the age of 4, Michelle with the family moved from NY to Prov., RI
where she was a lifelong resident for 60yrs growing up mostly in & around the South Side of Prov.
Michelle’s education in Prov. as a graduate of the Class of 1974 from Central High School
with her learning disability did not keep Michelle from enjoying life.
Raising her 3 children as a single mother, making every effort to succeed in her life
starting with attending Community College of Rhode Island
as well as working various part-time jobs to the best of her ability.
Michelle not only had MUCH LOVE for the family & her friends,
Michelle had MUCH LOVE for EVERYONE she came across NO MATTER How they treated Michelle. Michelle NEVER forgot a birthday.
NO MATTER whose Birthday it was, Michelle ALWAYS made Calls, gave out Cards or
put up Posts on Facebook to let them know their Special Day WAS NOT FORGOTTEN.
Michelle did take time for Herself,
however, Michelle ALWAYS spent MUCH TIME on Outings; Social Gatherings as well as made Frequently Visits to Someone’s house and/or hospital stay.
Michelle leaves her 2 daughters, Angelique M. Torres-Muldrow (James) of Woon., RI & Gabriella L. Torres-Zerambo (F. Cochise) of Prov., RI.
one son, Reuben M. Threats, Jr. (Chauntelle) of Prov., RI.
one sister, Anita Gadson-Watkins (Spencer) of Prov., RI.
And five brothers: Lorenzo Gadson of N. Hampton, MA (Valarie);
Steven Gadson (Stacy) &Thomas Gadson both of Prov., RI;
Eric Gadson (Sherry) of Round Rock, TX & David Gadson (Eurmin) of Cheverly, MD.
Michelle was preceded by the family’s mother & father,
Ethel Lee Gadson; & Richmond Gilbert Blatch as well as 2 brothers, Walter and Lamar Gadson.
Michelle leaves 19 grandchildren: Destiny, Elijah & Ismaelia (Gabriella); as well as Rebecca, Nikana & Antion (F. Cochise); Jaden, Alliana, Ariella, Aniya, Josiah, Anjiaya & Aiyana (Angelique);
Julian, Heaven, Elijah, Reuben & Jeremiah (Reuben Jr.) as well as Jessy (Chauntelle);
two great-grandchildren: Vanessa & Cassandra (Rebecca)
as well as a Host of Nieces, Nephews, Grandnieces, Grandnephews, Extended Family & Friends.
