Obituary for Migdalia Pina

Our beloved mother, wife and friend Migdalia Pina, 67, of East Providence passed away peacefully, on November 28th, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. A cherished daughter of the late, Efigenio and Eneida (Rodriguez) Vega. She is survived by her spouse, Arthur Pina. She is survived by her three beautiful daughters, Carmen Garabitos, Ivette Bermudez of East Providence and Jacqueline Lozada of Providence. Migdalia “ Mickey” is survived by her sisters, Mildred, Carmen, Ruthie and Angelic. She is also survived by her brother, Harry and sister in law Maureen Vega of Coventry. She is survived by her 10 beautiful grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was predeceased by one sister, Santa and one brother, Wilson.

Migdalia was born September 29th, 1954 in New York. She was raised in a home with seven siblings. As a young girl she moved to Puerto Rico and New York before settling in Rhode Island where she made her life and raised her family. She was a quiet and peaceful woman who made everyone laugh with her quick witted jokes, a loving grandmother and mom, but that was not to be mistaken for the “tough cookie” we knew she was.

She loved her plants and fishes , she liked to color , sew and challenge herself with the latest word puzzles. When at home, she liked to watch her crime shows and action movies but mostly she loved to spend time with her grandchildren. A loving and devoted soul, a dedicated mother and grandmother, rest in peace, until we meet again.

Services for Migdalia will be private.
