Obituary for Nancy Pinto

Our dear mother, Nancy Pinto, 76, of Coventry passed away peacefully on July 14th, surrounded by her loving family. She was a cherished daughter of the late John and Lucia (Pintarelli) Folco. She is survived by her loving children, Julie Pinto of Warwick RI, and Michael Pinto (Dawn) of Foster RI, and her two beloved grandchildren, Jarrett Robichaud and Danielle Pinto. Nancy was predeceased by her sister, Lucille Carroll, and her grandson, Michael R. Pinto.

Raised and educated in North Providence, Nancy was a proud graduate of North Providence High School where she excelled in the Business curriculum. Following that, she enjoyed a brief career in secretarial services, during which she was recognized as extremely efficient and hard working.

She later married and focused her talents, energies, and devotion to raising her family, finding time for an occasional aerobics class. She was a kind and loving mother, an example of determination and courage. Clever and witty, she loved to converse with those she liked and cared for, but didn't have much time for strangers or those she didn't like! Through her association with 'Parents without Partners', she discovered an affinity and passion for dancing. Nancy also loved to travel and spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She found peace and solace near the ocean and took many trips to beautiful places such as Hawaii and Puerto Rico.

In 1985, she relocated to Coral Springs FL where she resumed her secretarial career and spent her free time enjoying the beautiful beaches, people, and culture of her new community, returning home to Rhode Island in 2002 to be closer to her then-newborn grandchildren.

Services for Nancy will be private, condolences may be left on this site. Rest in peace, Dear Nancy!
