Obituary for Peter Beaulieu

Peter Beaulieu, 62 of Cumberland RI, passed away unexpectedly at Miriam Hospital, Monday, September 23, 2019. Born in Central Falls to the late Laurent and Janet (Levesque) Beaulieu. He is survived by his sister, Renee Sousa and her husband Al of Tiverton; his sister Donna Soares of Portsmouth and brother, Thomas Beaulieu and wife Christine of Foster along with nephews, Fred Sousa and Stephen Sousa and his wife Yana, nieces Michelle Peay and her husband Brian and Sarah Bouchard and her husband Ken and their three children, Hannah Rose, Hailey Rose and Kenneth Evan, niece, Mary Ann Sousa and great- nephews, Eli and Adrian. Peter leaves a wide circle of extended family, friends and fellow employees in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Peter worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Wrentham Developmental Center as a Chief Wastewater Operator. He was always hard working and a thoughtful man who loved his family, friends, neighbors and especially his beloved dogs. His love and care for animals was known by his friends and neighbors who dubbed him the Cumberland “Dog Whisperer”. Peter had a passion for reading, writing, history, country music, Bart Simpson and all political discussions.

A Mass of Christian Burial, to which friends and family are invited to attend, will be held at St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI on Saturday October 5th, 2019 at 11 a.m. with a Celebration of Life, in Peter’s honor to immediately follow.
