Obituary for Phillip Ronald Duke

A cherished husband, father and friend, Phillip Ronald Duke, 66, of Cumberland passed away on September 30th, 2021, at Landmark Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Wimbledon England, he was a beloved son of John and Pamela Jean (Brown) Stoakley. He is survived by his spouse of over thirty years, Susan Duke. He is also survived by three daughters, Nikita Duke of Brooklyn NY, Ylva Duke of Boston MA., Nataly Duke of London England and one son, Olaf Duke and his fiancé Deanna, of Cumberland. He is also survived by his two precious grandchildren Meckenzie and Jeminai by whom he will be sorely missed.

While Phillip was a quiet and private person he had a quick wit and dry sense of humor. He was a hardworking family man, a wonderful husband and father with a great curiosity and intellect. He loved planes and would often take the kids out to the airport to watch the flights take off. He also loved photography and science and traveling the world. He worked as a Computer Programmer for Dell Computers and taught Computer Programming at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Clark University for many years.

Phillip was a member of the oldest high IQ society in the world known as Mensa. After he finished a few years of college, he became a Computer Programmer for Dell Computers for many years.

In addition to being a Mensa member, Phillip was also a Mason, one of the oldest Christian fraternal organizations in the world for men of character.

A kind, loving and brilliant man, gone too soon from our lives has gone to rest in peace until we meet again.

Services for Phillip will be private.
