Phyllis Croteau (May 30, 1950 - August 6, 2018)

After a long and courageous fight with Alzheimer’s disease, Phyllis Marie Antoinette Croteau passed away on August 6, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.

She was a daughter of the late Joseph and Palma (Lemme ) Croteau, Phyllis and her twin brother were born on May 30,1950.

Phyllis is survived by her daughters Anna Ostrander and her husband Glen of Woodsville, NH, Lilly Ruiz and her spouse Mike Csizmesia of Exeter, RI., Rhonda McBride and her husband Kevin of Hendersonville, TN. She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren Crystal Chamberlain, Christopher Ruiz, Denielle Chamberlain, Mikel Csizmesia, Emalie Ostrander, Alex Ostrander, Amanda Ragland, Ashlyn McBride, Chelsea Mines, and Isabella McBride, and 16 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

She is also survived by her sister, Janet Carter of Brooklyn, CT, her twin brother, Ronnie, of Warwick, RI and brother Tony of Cape Cod, MA, and many nieces and nephews and their families.

Meeting Phyllis at the pearly gates is her beloved mother, Palma. She was also predeceased by her sisters Joyce and Lilly and brothers Jimmy, Johnny, Joey, and Butch.

Phyllis was a long-time friend of Bill W. and helped many recovering alcoholics over the last 36 years.

Her family would like to thank all of her caregivers and staff at Bayberry Commons where she was a resident for the last six years.

Calling hours, to which friends and relatives are invited to attend will be Friday evening from 5 to 7 pm in the Berarducci Funeral Home185 Spring St Woonsocket. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday in Holy Family Church, 414 S Main St, Woonsocket, at 10 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Phyllis’ name to the Alzheimer Association and that you pass along one nice word every single day to someone you come in contact with.
