Richard Roark, 76, of Woonsocket, formerly of North Providence, passed away unexpectedly at Landmark Medical Center on July 29th, 2022, after a brief illness. He was born on July 14th, 1946, a son of the late Claude and Elsie (O’Neill) Roark. He is survived by his siblings, Kenneth Roark of North Providence, Sandra Sciotti of Johnston, and Linda Smith in CT, along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Claude Jr., Darrell, and Denise Behan.

He joined the Merchant Marines and worked in the construction industry for many years before retiring. He was an avid reader and a fan of the NE Patriots.

Mostly quiet by nature and not much about “small talk”, he will be remembered as a person of purpose and unique character. Rest in Peace, Richard.
