Richard Paul Robinson, 53, of Providence, and formerly New Hampshire and Massachusetts,
unexpectedly passed into the eternity for which he had a reverence on Friday July 29th, at his home,
from heart failure.
A dear brother and friend, he was sweet and sensitive, always curious and always interested in learning, upbeat and vibrant, and a unique and very special individual who lived his all-too-short life unapologetically.
A life-long scholar and aficionado of the arts, architecture, the magnificence of the earth, and life itself, Richard was a true Renaissance Man, rich with Old World roots and traits. A student of Greek
Mythology, the Roman Empire, and all of History, he loved photography, flower, plant, and vegetable
gardening, and all of nature. He was also quite the culinary artist and loved taking over the kitchens of
those who allowed him to do so and who was prepared to do the dishes when he was done!
Richard was born on July 14, 1969, in Bad Tolz, Germany to the late Richard A. Robinson and Angelika M. Lowery, raised and educated in Franklin, New Hampshire, and continued his formal studies at several Colleges and Universities. His quest for knowledge never stopped!
He thoroughly enjoyed his employment association with the very popular and upscale Bacaro
Restaurant in Providence and thrived in the surrounding vibrant university, arts, and hospitality culture, appreciating the best of the city's offerings.
He leaves his beloved sister, Theresia Robinson, and her wife Malia McIntyre Robinson, of East
Wakefield, New Hampshire. Richard immensely enjoyed spending time with Teri and Malia at Province Lake and dreamed of retiring in the cabin next door.
He is also survived by siblings, Donna Pyle of West Virginia, Christian Davis of Virginia, Michael Westfield of Germany, Terrianne Robinson, Ryan Robinson, and Paul Robinson all of Franklin, New Hampshire. Dear to his heart, he leaves behind his chosen family, the Scully’s, the Maul’s, and the Henning’s, as well as many close friends, acquaintances, and admirers.
Services are being planned for a future date which will be published on this site upon completion.
Meanwhile, relatives and friends are invited to leave a condolence or memory. Rest in peace, Richard!
