Obituary

Obituary for Richard M "Dickie" Verdelotti

Richard (Dickie) Verdelotti 73, of Scituate, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning surrounded by his loving family. He was a son of the late Angelo and Theresa ( Mattera) Verdelotti. He is survived by his devoted wife Cheryl Verdelotti, His daughter Jennifer McCaughey and two sons Daniel McCaughey and Thomas McCaughey and his family, Amanda Madison and Autumn McCaughey. He is also survived by one granddaughter, Marissa Rogers. Richard is also survived by his adoring Mother in Law Irene Derosier in addition to his nephews Raymond Verdelotti, Angelo Verdelotti and niece Lara Verdelotti. Richard was predeceased by his sister Barbra and his brother Raymond.

Richard was known to his friends by Dickie. After graduating high school he joined the Army and became a Vietnam Veteran where he served his country honorably. The Army was his passion as were his family, his cars and he was also a gun enthusiast. He was a family man and loved to be with family and close friends. He was an Open Road Truck Driver for many years before retiring, He was the laughter in our home, the smile in our hearts. We will miss his edgy sense of humor and the way he found comedy in any situation. He was our rock and he will be sorely missed. A kind but firm man who will be missed but never forgotten.

Services for Richard to which family and friends are respectfully invited to attend will be held in the Berarducci Funeral Home 26 Grove St. Providence on Friday March 15th with from 6-8pm with a private Burial in the Veterans Cemetery in Exeter.
