Born in Northbridge MA., Bob moved to RI as a child. He was a lifelong Woonsocket resident raising his family and making his life here. He was a man’s man who loved the outdoors, especially when fishing or riding his Harley. He attended Woonsocket public schools and worked in Waste Management as a Heavy Equipment Operator for many years. Those who knew Bob saw him as a man of grace and compassion; he was always able to spot the good in everything and everyone. Always taking the side of the underdog. He taught us not to judge but to be kind, look for the good and positive in others. He loved the simple things in life, he would take his Harley out for long rides to find himself at some great New England clam or seafood shack or maybe a roadside restaurant overlooking a fantastic view of New England sunsets and oceans.
He was always doing home improvement projects with his son, whether it was building a new deck or installing a new pool, he loved being with his family, doing all the hard work and then having big, beautiful family gatherings, with Bob Jr., on the grill and the entire family in attendance eating and laughing and making memories. He adored his mom, stepdad and son and loved all his stepchildren equally, it was truly his grandchildren that gave him the most joy. It was indeed the simple things in life that he so appreciated and taught us to appreciate too. Honesty, decency and integrity with loving kindness and compassion will be what we remember. So long to a great man, until we meet again.
