Robert Whitley, 76 of North Smithfield passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at St. Antoine's Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Woonsocket on October 22nd. He was the son of the late Merle and Marion (Myers) Whitley. He is survived by his loving wife Linda (Menard) Whitley and his children Robert Whitley of San Diego, Roger Rattie of Woonsocket, James Rattie of Indiana and Teresa Whitely Hernandez of San Diego. Robert was predeceased by one sister Patricia Whitley.

Robert was a retired police officer in San Bernadino before moving to Las Vegas and then to Rhode Island where he made his home. He was a mental health professional at Wrentham Develpmental Center and Medfield State Hospital after which he managed Roller Kingdom on Diamond Hill Road for many years before retiring. In his retirement he loved being with his family and enjoyed his children and 10 grandchildren. He loved his TV shows, he loved to watch MASH, the History Channel.

Services for Robert will be private.
