Obituary for Ronald John Benoit

A beloved husband, father, stepfather and friend, Ronald John Benoit, 81, of Woonsocket passed away peacefully on December 10th, 2023, surrounded by his loving family at Hope Hospice and Palliative Care, of Providence. He is survived by his loving wife Carol (Brunelle) Benoit, his devoted son Kevin Benoit, and his wife Brenda of East Providence, two devoted stepsons, Michael Brunelle and his wife Tina in Woonsocket, Timothy Brunelle, and his wife Sandra of Lincoln. He leaves one sister, Marlene Blais of Attleboro MA along with seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, Michael, and Gary Benoit.

Ron was a friendly and generous man, hardworking with a heart of gold. He was a professional truck driver for over fifty years, driving Tractor Trailers throughout New England and Canada. He dedicated many of his years working for Berger & Co., before retiring just four years ago. Ron loved his family and friends; he was a selfless person who always put his family first. In his quiet times he enjoyed freshwater fishing, watching golf, football, or his favorite show, Northwoods Law. Ron had a great sense of humor, always making jokes and reminding us not to take life too seriously. His smile was infectious. He loved bowling with his league and Saturday card games with family. Everyone who knew Ron loved him, he was caring, funny, and smart. He was a good husband, father, stepfather, grandfather and great grandfather, a good friend and neighbor too. He will be missed by many. May he rest in eternal peace until we meet again.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Berarducci Funeral Home Spring St Woonsocket and services are respectfully private.
