Ronald A Passarelli, Sr. ‘Ronnie’ 81, of North Providence passed away peacefully on Monday, September 17th, 2018 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. Married for 60 years, he was the beloved husband of Anna (Natalizia) Passarelli. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Alfred and Josephine (DeAngelis) Passarelli.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his loving children, Ronald, Alfred and his wife Peggy, Lori, Matthew and his wife Tamako, and Meaghan Passarelli. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Nicholas and his wife Adriana, Joshua, Shannon, Mya, Talia and Malia Passarelli and his pride and joy great grandchildren, Liliana, Avery and Dante Passarelli. He was the brother of Linda Jones and her husband Paul and uncle to several nieces and nephews who he loved dearly. Ronnie’s best friend was his American Bulldog Benjamin.

He was the proprietor of Ronnie’s Ideal Furniture. He was also a member of the RI Division of Sheriffs and retired from the City of Providence as Director of Civil Preparedness, Emergency Management. Ronnie was an avid sports fan, especially of baseball and his beloved New York Yankees. Watching the games surrounded by family and friends was a favorite pastime.

Visitation to which friends and family are invited to attend will be held Thursday evening, September 20th from 4-7 pm in the Berarducci Funeral Home, 26 Grove St., Providence. Burial will be private in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
