As the sun rises over the Federal Hill community of historic Providence, there is one less 'fixture' and revered citizen and good friend on which to shine today. Ronald Roy "Rocky" Santomassimo, 72, passed away peacefully on May 14th, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. His vibrant presence and the warmth and sunshine he shared will be sorely missed by many. A life-long and well-respected resident of the storied 'Hill', he endeared himself to many in his beloved neighborhood.

Rocky was a son of the late Mario (Dewey) and Lorenza (Bianco) Santomassimo and together with his brother was raised in a loving and traditional Italo-American home. He was a proud veteran, serving his country with honor, courage, and respect. He is survived by his devoted daughter, Tammy (Santomassimo) Costa of Johnston, and her four beautiful daughters, Olivia, Julia, Ava, and Isla, and his dear brother Mario (Dewey) Santomassimo Jr., and his wife Sandra of North Providence

Visitation to which family and friends are respectfully invited to attend will be held in the Berarducci Home 26 Grove St Providence on Monday May 24th from 4-6. Burial will be in St Ann's Cemetery Cranston Tuesday at 11 am with Visitation in the funeral home at 8:45
