Obituary for Scott J Pina

Scott J. Pina, 55, of Providence, passed away unexpectedly on December 31st, 2019 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was a son of Joan DeMarco and the late Arthur Pina. He is survived by his three devoted children, two daughters, Nia and Chelsea Pina both of Providence and one son, Jamere Pina, also of Providence. Scott is also survived by three brothers, Jason Pina of Providence, Arthur Pina of East Providence and Chad Yeremian of Providence. Scott leaves behind his beloved grand-daughter, Amarah, along with many nieces and nephews by whom he will be sorely missed.

Scott was a hardworking, selfless, caring, giving man who worked two jobs and dedicated his life to raising his three loving children. In addition to being a great dad, son, uncle and friend, he was a beloved grand father who loved spending time with his grand-daughter, Amarah.

He was a Crossing Guard for the City of Providence for nearly 20 years and an employee of Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts for nearly 20 years. He was the glue to our family unit, he was outspoken, yet he had the patience of a saint. Besides work and family Scott had an artistic side, he was very talented and imaginative with his art and his style. He would take charge of all festivities and party décor he liked pottery and anything he could create with his hands and imagination. Scott also loved to cook for his family, he loved old Italian dishes like Spaghetti with Tuna or his famous sticky wings which we will all miss.

A Celebration of Life for Scott, to which, family and friends are invited to attend will be held on Friday, January 10th, from 5-7 pm at Most Worshipful Prince Hall, Grand Lodge of the State of RI 883 Eddy St., Providence. RI 02905
