Obituary for William A McGloin

William A. McGloin, 44, of Cranston, passed away peacefully, at Hope Hospice RI, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, December 1st, 2019. He was a son of Mr. William J. McGloin of Providence and the late Mrs., JoAn (Toledo) McGloin. William is also survived by his three children, William A. McGloin Jr., 11 years old and his 9-year-old twins, Mateo and Indira McGloin. He is also survived by his two sisters, Maria Morales and her husband Hector of Cumberland and Doreen McGloin of North Providence. William is also survived by his two nephews, Christopher and Devon McGloin. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Nicole Wilson and her two children.

After graduation from Hope High School, Bill got a job at GS Tek Solutions LLC., where he worked as a Telecommunications Tech for many years before becoming ill. He was handsome, kind, generous, loving and funny. He was a great son and brother but, most of all, a great dad who loved his children and family dearly. He was known by all his friends and family for “always being there” for others, he was loud and had a larger than life personality. He loved basketball, books, dogs and video games, he loved comic books and was an avid reader of all books. William always had a good word for others and never participated in negative talk about anyone, he liked to eat clean and healthy, he loved to eat Italian food but, he also loved fish and sushi and could make an awesome calzone. He was the light of our lives and will be missed everyday by all who loved him.

A Celebration of Life, in William’s honor will be held at the Columbus Club of Lincoln, 171 Jenckes Hill Road, Lincoln, Thursday, December 5th from 4-8pm . Burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery and will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to his GoFundMe account at gf.me/u/w2sszr
