Lorraine Ina Johnson (Savko) Schales, formally of Holliston, Quincy,North Grafton, MA and Inverness, FL, passed away on March 10, 2015 at the age of 86 to be with the Lord. She was the beloved wife of the late William Schales of Quincy, MA, and the mother of Susan (Savko ) Went and her husband Walter of New Milford, CT and Myrtle Beach, SC , Dianne (Savko) Lorenzetti and her husband Enrico of Dunedin, FL, formally of Quincy, and Meredith (Savko) Brown and her husband Jeffrey of No. Providence, RI formally of Quincy, MA and Bedford, VA. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Christopher Mandella of Webster, MA, Rachael Mandella of Rochdale, MA, Melissa Lorenzetti and Katie O'Neil of Quincy and Sarah Evjy of Braintree MA and seven great grandchildren
Lorraine was born in Worcester and attended Worcester schools.She worked at Reed and Prince before marrying and moving to North Grafton to raise her family. During those years she was employed by St. Mary's Church Rectory and was actively involved in the church teaching CCD classes, singing in the church choir and singing solo for church functions and services. She was also active in the Womens Club and community ,where she performed in many musical productions.

After moving to Quincy, she played a significant role in the success of the South Shore Council on Alcholism, run by her late husband William Schales. She had a heart of gold and enjoyed helping people in need . After her retirement she moved to Inverness, FL, but returned to New England to be with her family.
Lorrie loved the ocean, Nubble Light in York Beach, ME being her favorite place of all. She made it a point to visit there every year with her family. Her favorite pastimes were sailing with her husband, traveling, singing, dancing and writing beautiful poetry.

Relatives and friends are respectively invited to attend In the Celebration Of Life Memorial Service on Saturday April 4, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Christ Community Church, 224 Woodward Road Providence, RI.
