Obituary

Obituary for Scott J Pina

Scott J. Pina, 55, of Providence, passed away unexpectedly on December 31st, 2019 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was a son of Joan DeMarco and the late Arthur Pina. He is survived by his three devoted children, two daughters, Nia and Chelsea Pina both of Providence and one son, Jamere Pina, also of Providence. Scott is also survived by three brothers, Jason Pina of Providence, Arthur Pina of East Providence and Chad Yeremian of Providence. Scott leaves behind his beloved grand-daughter, Amarah, along with many nieces and nephews by whom he will be sorely missed.

Scott was a hardworking, selfless, caring, giving man who worked two jobs and dedicated his life to raising his three loving children. In addition to being a great dad, son, uncle and friend, he was a beloved grand father who loved spending time with his grand-daughter, Amarah.

He was a Crossing Guard for the City of Providence for nearly 20 years and an employee of Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts for nearly 20 years. He was the glue to our family unit, he was outspoken, yet he had the patience of a saint. Besides work and family Scott had an artistic side, he was very talented and imaginative with his art and his style. He would take charge of all festivities and party décor he liked pottery and anything he could create with his hands and imagination. Scott also loved to cook for his family, he loved old Italian dishes like Spaghetti with Tuna or his famous sticky wings which we will all miss.

To Joan and all of Scott's family, I am so sorry to hear of his passing. Sfter years of not seeing the family we reconnected a month or so ago. I am shaken by the news he was always a supportive son and I how he loved his family. He will be missed. My thoughts are with all of you

Scott’s vibrant and caring personality will be sorely missed at Gillette’s P11. You could always count on Scottie to come by with a big smile and kind words. May knowing that he touched so many lives comfort you.
